About The Founder & Early Career Coach:
AMELIE TSENG
I began my career in strategic communications and media interview coaching shortly after graduating from Vassar College with a B.A. degree in Psychology. I was hired by a leading international Public Relations agency and was charged with traveling from city to city, pitching the press and coaching and training our corporate spokespeople for their TV, radio and print interviews. It was at this early juncture when my passion for strategizing, coaching and connecting people became permanently seeded.
Today, with over 35 years of experience as a Communications Strategist, I've built a reputation for developing highly successful communication strategies that have helped build brands and people profiles. I've led Global Strategic Communications and Publicity departments for a diverse range of businesses ranging from GODIVA Chocolatier to entertainment networks (e.g. Travel Channel, Bravo, Nickelodeon International/MTV Networks International, Country Music Television, CBS Cable), under the helm of some of the industry’s most prominent media companies including Scripps Networks Interactive, Viacom, NBC Universal, USA Networks, and CBS.
In each of these roles, I've been the architect of communication strategies that elevated the overall profile of the brand, and have been the executive in charge of media training and coaching spokespeople so they are fully prepared for all types of speaking engagements including press interviews, panel discussions and keynote speeches. My deep experience in coaching executives, emerging talent, and celebrities for speaking engagements and media interviews has resulted in a colorful career working with celebrities and bold-faced names including Heidi Klum, Anthony Bourdain, Bobby Brown, John Mellencamp, Andy Cohen, baseball legend Mickey Mantle and author Ray Bradbury as well as emerging reality stars from the award winning TV franchises The Real Housewives of Orange County, Top Chef and Project Runway.
I continue to work in the Global Corporate Communications sector and have served on several boards including the Board of Trustees at the We Are All Music Foundation (WAAM), a non-profit that provides grants to U.S. based nonprofits that elevates people's lives through the power of music. Interview Bootcamp is my passion project and is a resource that I continue to provide to those in need of my services. The launch of this interview prep/early career coaching resource was prompted by my own experiences seeking these skills for my then college bound sons. With limited options available, I was inspired to create a service specifically focused on coaching both young and mature adults in building their personal brand and interview and public speaking skills as they embark on their next adventure.
With my deep experience as a communications strategist, media trainer/interview coach, and interviewer, I bring a multi-faceted perspective to the coaching process. This insight uniquely positions me to help prepare you for all types of interviews -- whether it's over the phone, in-person or the more prevalent virtual interview.
